GT’s Winning Streak Continues with Their Dominating Win Over SRH Putting Them at Second In The IPL 2025

The Titans beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 20 of Season 18 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, by 7 Wickets, adding another Win to their streak, making it 3 back to back. This win has pushed them to hold the second position in the IPL with them showcasing amazing depth in their batting and bowling.

GT’s Bowling Attack Yet Again Gained Them Victory It was none other than GT’s pace spearhead Mohammed Siraj who won the game for the Titans. He achieved an incredible milestone of 4/17 which hand him take the Player of the Match award. Siraj does have the reputation of striking early in the match, and yet again that is exactly what he did. During the powerplay he struck twice which included Travis Head and IPL milestone wicket number 100 with Abhishek Sharma.
Krishna and Sai Kishore did a handsome job supporting Siraj, claiming Prasidh’s 2 for 25 and Sai’s 2 for 24, keeping SRH in check for any real momentum. Even with the 50 run partnership between Klaasen and Reddy, GT still disciplined the hosts to only 152/8 which was far below the target for the SRH innings. After the last over fireworks from Pat Cummins and Mohd. Shami, where they managed to score 17 from Ishant Sharma, gave a brief shimmer of hope but that to was not enough.
GT while chasing took a hit at the start, losing Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler to phenomenal spells from Shami and Cummins. But then Captain Shubman Gill led from the front and in the most critical part of the game he scored a calm and composed 60 from 42 balls* to steady the innings.
In the powerplay, Washington Sundar off his 29 balls scored 49 and in the first debut match hit a flurry of fours and sixes to come out blazing. His hitting took the pressure off the SRH bowlers and shifted it towards them letting his team dominate.
Sherfane Rutherford rounded off things beautifully dealing the final blows in the end where he recorded 35 runs without loss to help GT finish at a quicker pace with 20 balls left highlighting GT’s dominance.
Gujarat Titans not only won their third consecutive match but also claimed that they are serious contenders for the title. Like always, they fused their incredibly strong bowling and their versatile batting to execute the game plan perfectly.
